Me, Charles’ debut EP is a groundbreaking and experimental fusion of warped jazz, glitchy electronics and chamber instrumentation. The project as a whole is pitched as a heightened and feverish art piece, drawing on Charles’ experiences of loss, disordered eating and struggles with addiction, through a sardonic and surrealist lens in which Me, Charles comes across, in his own words, as “a bit of an idiot”.

It is rare for a debut release to arrive with such unabashed intention, but Park Motive’s circuit-board symphonies have had more than enough incubation time. The original mix of ‘Folk’ — a name that alludes to humanity’s ancient nature of obsession is joined by two edits. The first from Black Midi’s DJ Dairy and the second from MM’99.

SPICE marks an experimentation of fusing dancehall punk, dub + hip-hop with future-facing dancefloor styles. Born out of the collective mind of some of Bristol's most twisted artists, Grove drafts in additional production credits from YOKEL (Slack Alice, Avon Terror Corps) and Robin Stewart (Giant Swan).
Nukuluk is an experimental hip-hop collective based in South London. Their chaotic sound draws off a series of eureka moments during studio play, a broad church of influence and a symbiotic relationship within the group. Alien field recordings, warped bass drones and clattering percussion create otherworldly production landscapes, stages on which vocalists Syd and Monika can battle it out.
Cix Shrimpton is an experimental electronic musician based in Catford, South-East London, who has been making music as CIX for several years. While taking much influence from contemporary pop music and deconstructed club, her music remains uncompromisingly fantastical and folkloric, aspiring to envelope the listener in story-telling and world-building musical drama.
Grove is a Bristol-based artist, DJ and producer. Their debut EP 'Queer + Black' is an exploration of identity, both personal and political - a deft combination of sharp hooks and splintering beats beamed in from a club in 3021 AD. It is a fierce opening statement from an artist that brings a unique energy to their personal experiences of sexuality, society and race, all within the space of 5 exhilarating tracks.
Robbie & Mona is couple-duet, William Carkeet and Eleanor Gray, who have found a surreal creative outlet making their gorgeous scrap-book glitch pop with each other. Their debut album ‘EW’ experiments fearlessly with sonic textures and song structures, expertly toeing the line between deep emotional resonance and alienating disarray.
A performer, an entrepreneur, and now a religion∗, Lynks is set for world domination. Written on the long walk home from a sweaty, sticky, sexually-predatory straight-club, ‘Str8 Acting’ is a frenetic deconstruction of club music, all held together by Lynk’s urgent confessions. The track has since been re-released, but we are proud to have started the label with such a bang.
